Martin Taylor

Senior Researcher

Martin's background differs from that of other members of AQA’s Centre for Education Research and Practice in that his previous experience was largely in teaching rather than research. Most of his teaching experience took place in two sixth-form colleges and was centred on A-level and GCSE Mathematics. He was Head of Mathematics in the second college, and towards the end of his teaching career, Martin was seconded for a year on a Government-funded project entitled Flexible Learning Strategies in Sixth Form Mathematics. He joined the Research Department of the then Associated Examining Board in 1991. Martin's work tends to focus on technical issues associated with current and proposed examinations.
